About the General Medicine Program

The program is a full-time, 6-year specialization. Graduates earn the qualification of a Medical Doctor.

During the first three years, students study humanities, natural sciences, and biomedical disciplines. This builds a strong scientific foundation while developing key skills such as clinical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication.

From the fourth year, the curriculum focuses entirely on professional medical subjects. Students gain in-depth knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal and infectious diseases, surgery, anesthesiology, and emergency and military medicine.

Students learn to diagnose diseases, prescribe optimal therapy, manage patients in emergency situations, conduct preventive and rehabilitative care, and perform various medical evaluations, including forensic assessments.The program is hosted at the N.V. Sklifosovsky Institute of Clinical Medicine, Russia’s largest medical faculty, comprising 49 departments and 21 clinical bases. Students enjoy hands-on practice and direct contact with real clinical cases.
